FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (FAQ)

The following are some commonly asked questions regarding my services:

How much time until the next tax season?
Why should I choose Don Thompson of DT Financial to prepare my income tax returns?

Are you one of nearly half of all Americans overpaying your taxes?  Could you be repeating the same mistakes of overlooking deductions and/or credits?  Let Don review your income tax situation.  Most of the clients who turn to Don have gone years overlooking typical deducitons.

What are your rates?

Don's rates are very reasonable.   Despite having been in business since 1997, with increasing expenses, Don's rates have only been raised six times.

Current fees for basic services range from no charge up to $400.  There is an extra fee of $100 each for business income and/or rental income.  Multiple rental properties may include more fees.  On rare occasions, there are additional fees for returns involving very rare once in a lifetime events (selling home large capital gains, moving out of state, etc.).  I offer discounts for families with multiple returns, military personnel, and client's children who are still full-time students.

Rates are very sensitive for most.  Too high of a rate and many think they are overpaying.  Yet too low of a rate and some feel they are not getting the service they need. Don's rates are fair and competitive.

What are the days and times available for appointments?

Don is available by APPOINTMENT ONLY.

During income tax season (January 30th to April 15th), Don has appointment availability every day of the week, from 8 AM to 7 PM.

During non-income tax season (April 16th to January 29th), all appointments will be on an "as-needed basis."

I WILL NOT  be available for appointments after April 15th each year.   I apologize for any inconvenience, however, as your income tax preparer, my goal is to teach you to be a responsible taxpayer.

How do I make an appointment?
